Description
Makita sa bisag diin nga lugar diri sa Banatayan Island, pero kasagaran motobo sa swamp, coastal area kag mga limestone nga lugar. Ang dahon sang An-An hamis nga sinaw basta bata pa ang dahon. Ang iya color kay yellow green nga may porm nga oblong. Ang buwak sang An-An kay may yellowish kag kung mamunga ini, ang iya color sang bunga kay green kag kung mahinog mo reddish to purple black.
The Dita tree is native to our island. It is a tree that is often feared by the elders, as they believe it is inhabited by spirits such as the agta and kapre. According to tradition, if one smells the flowers of the Dita tree, they may become feverish. However, the Dita tree itself is resilient, as it has withstood many powerful storms and remains standing. Its flowering period begins in July and August, and when it blooms, it is common for people to catch colds and coughs.
