The Batino is a native tree here on our island and is somewhat similar to the Dita because they belong to the same family. Its leaf characteristics and arrangement are whorled and compound, and it has latex — which is one way to know that they are both from the Apocynaceae family. Its flowers are white, just like those of the Dita, and its fruit is similar too, but smaller in size.
