About Us

GOODLand is a platform under Martha Atienza’s Art Lab that develops and applies a creative and collaborative methodology utilized to tackle social, economic and environmental issues on Bantayan Island in the Visayas, Philippines.

What We Do?

Carry out community collaborations focusing on local Bisayan and Bantayanon cultural and environmental knowledge and systems of governance.

Facilitate the creation of an archive of physical and audio-visual material and turn this into evidence of ​local struggles and resiliency.

Collaborate with institutions and organizations to strengthen resiliency

Partnership with BIHIYA Association

GOODLand Association Inc and BIHIYA Association work together to strengthen communities through sustainable livelihoods, environmental stewardship, and community-led learning. Built on shared values of caring for people and the environment, the partnership supports initiatives in climate-resilient farming, seed saving, biodiversity conservation, watershed awareness, women’s leadership, and local knowledge preservation.
Together, BIHIYA and GOODLand create spaces where communities can learn, organize, and grow while promoting a more sustainable future for present and future generations.
